Katherine Marshall Woods, Psy.D. has a private practice in downtown DC where she works with individuals, children and families in psychotherapy and administers comprehensive psychological evaluations to persons of all ages.  She has specific interest in psychological assessment and trauma related work.  

Dr. Marshall Woods served five years within the District of Columbia Public Schools as a certified school psychologist providing primarily psychological assessments to school-aged children.  Thereafter, Dr. Marshall Woods offered individual, family, and marital psychotherapy to active military personnel in the Middle East located in Doha, Qatar.  Dr. Marshall Woods is also a trained mental health professional with the American Red Cross, offering psychological crisis intervention services to those who have experienced trauma by natural disasters.  Additionally, she is a monthly columnist for EmPower Magazine, where she responds to readers’ questions regarding life’s challenges. Lastly, Dr. Marshall Woods has appeared on a number of media outlets such as News Channel 8, In Transition, NPR and The Huffington Post.
